The original Dark Forest Botanical Accord from which every Samhain creation begins.
Handcrafted entirely from botanical aromatic materials and supplied undiluted, this accord may be enjoyed in a variety of applications, including reed diffusers, oil burners and other botanical formulations.
There comes a moment when the year seems to fall silent.
The harvest is over.
The leaves are falling.
The darkness gathers earlier each evening.
Aonta na Sgàile was created to inhabit that threshold.
Dark woods and damp earth form a deep, grounded foundation, while ancient resins bring warmth and depth to the gathering shadows. A trace of smoke moves quietly through the fragrance, carrying something wilder and less familiar beneath it: the sense of standing at the edge of the known world and becoming aware that something lies beyond.
There is darkness here, but it is not something to fear.
Samhain asks us to enter it.
To remember those who came before us, to acknowledge what has ended, and to recognise that the boundary between what is known and what remains unseen does not always feel as certain as we imagine.
The fragrance fills the room with the stillness of a late autumn landscape after nightfall, when familiar shapes become shadows and the world seems, for a while, to hold more than it reveals.
This is not darkness as absence.
It is darkness as threshold.
A scent for remembrance, reflection, transformation and the crossing into the darker half of the year.
